After many years in private practice as a psychotherapist,
Frankie Balek has, for the last fifteen years, concentrated more fully on her love of painting. This is a passion influenced by the old masters and their use of the drama of light and shadows.
She only uses subject matter that has meaning in order to bring emotion and feeling into her work.
Frankie uses oils and paints still lifes, landscapes and portraits. She delights in using mementos from people to create a meaningful still life for them.
